Blake Griffin was selected first overall by the Los Angeles Clippers in the 2009 NBA draft but unfortunately in the final pre-season game of 2009, he broke his left kneecap, had surgery, and missed the entire 2009–10 season. Griffin made his NBA debut as a rookie the following season, where he was selected as an All-Star and won the NBA Slam Dunk Contest with the now infamous dunk over a car.  He was later named the NBA Rookie of the Year. In 2011, Sports Illustrated called him one of the NBA’s 15 Greatest Rookies of All Time. He has also been selected in 6× NBA All-Star teams (2011–2015, 2019).

Griffin previously played for the Detroit Pistons, Los Angeles Clippers, Brooklyn Nets and Boston Celtics before retiring on April 16, 2024.

Blake has immense talent and is well know for his dunking abilities, unfortunately he has also had a career full of injuries.
