Born and raised in Wellington, Julian Savea was one of the most electrifying wingers to ever pull on the All Blacks jersey. Nicknamed “The Bus” for his powerful, unstoppable running style, Savea burst onto the international stage in 2012, scoring a hat-trick on his All Blacks debut against Ireland at Eden Park.

A key member of New Zealand’s 2015 Rugby World Cup winning side, Savea was the tournament’s highest try scorer with eight tries, equalling the single-tournament record previously held by greats Jonah Lomu and Bryan Habana.
