In front of a full-capacity crowd at Eden Park in March 2015, Grant Elliott cemented his spot in New Zealand cricket folklore with his match winning six off Dale Steyn in the World Cup semi-final  to put New Zealand into their first World Cup final.

After moving to New Zealand from South Africa to seek more cricketing opportunities. Grant represented Wellington well on the domestic cricket scene and once he fulfilled his residency requirements, eventually became a regular in the New Zealand white ball teams.
